Zac Efron looks insane in sneak peek of Ted Bundy courtroom scene ahead of Sundance screening

Zac plays serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile. He shared an Instagram photo this Thursday of himself in character during what appeared to be a courtroom scene.

'Ready for Sundance! #extremelywickedshockinglyevilandvile,' captioned the 31-year-old actor, who became famous in Disney Channel's High School MusicalThe Sundance Institute announced Wednesday that this movie will be among the 112 features screened at the film festival in Utah between January 24 and February 3.
Prosecutor Larry Simpson said to the jury: 'He's the kind of man who's smart enough to stand up in this court...and question witnesses. He thinks he's smart enough to get away with any crime,' the Washington Post reported at the time of the trial.
Ted ultimately went to the electric chair in 1989, and while awaiting execution, he finally confessed to 30 homicides, all with female victims.
The specific murder that earned him the death penalty was the 1978 killing of Kimberly Leach, who was only 12 years old.
This biopic of Ted, who was also a rapist and necrophiliac, is being directed by Joe Berlinger, whose previous work has heavily been in documentaries.
The film will haul out two major names for the trial sequences - Jim Parsons as Larry Simpson and John Malkovich as Judge Edward Cowart.
