This brand feels very unispired to me, and it has for a while. Quite disappointing.

Hablando de cosas sin inspiración...ni el casting tiene. Ahora las modelos buenas desfilan para Sacai. Esto dice mucho de una marca, la verdad.

Same story as in the last couple of seasons. It's nice, of course. But I just feel like it's the same thing we've seen multiple times already.
La misma historia que en las pasadas temporadas. Es bonito, por supuesto. Pero siento que es lo mismo que ya hemos visto en varias ocasiones.

I mean, this is beautiful as well. Solid collection, but a bit weak. It lacks a certain something, even though it's a gorgeous collection.
A ver, esta también es bonita. Es una colección sólida, pero algo débil. Le falta ese algo especial, pese a ser una colección preciosa.

The only good thing about Bella walking for Givenchy is that she was supposed to be an exclusive for than brand. Poor thing, she knows so little about fashion that she doesn't even know the difference between exclusive and semi-exclusive. So now I have to see her walking for Chanel and for Miu Miu.
Miu Miu's cast is going to be...hard to deal with. I'm going to be really mad tomorrow. I'm warning you already.
Ok, but what about this collection? Good question, but give me a second to recover from those pink outfits that blinded me.
This is supposed to be for a new generation, which I guess it means for a younger target. But I don't really see the difference with other collections. Brighter? That doesn't mean younger.

Se supone que es para una nueva generación, lo cual supongo que significa para un público más joven. Pero no veo la diferencia con respecto a otras colecciones. ¿Colores más vivos? Porque eso no es sinónimo de juventud.

When you watch the Valentino stream, you get to see little sentences about the collection. I never pay attention to them, but I did today. I'm going to write some of them for you, because they really describe the collection:
-Culture of the happening.
-Favours instinct to logic.
-The woman is the protagonist of this illustration, free in her gestures and in her thoughts.
Just to name a few. I think they really help you understand the collection. The "culture of the happening" and the fact that they favour instinct to logic just shows the way fashion works nowadays. Wearing a pretty pink dress with those kind of boots was something no one did in the past. Now you can do it, because the rules have changed. You do what your instinct tells you to do, rather than doing the logic thing. And that means you're free to do as you please.
I think that sums it up pretty nicely. But I want to give you my opinion as well.
You know I love Valentino, and this collection surprised me. I didn't expect them to mix ballet and punk, but I kind of love it. It's not my kind of thing, but I find it quite brave that they added this to their collection. I know they're making a lot of money now, and they could just play it safe and keep on counting the notes...but they didn't. Happy about that.
Cuando vemos el stream de Valentino, podemos leer frases que van poniendo sobre la colección. No suelo prestarles atención, pero hoy si lo hice. Voy a escribir unas pocas para que las leáis, porque describen muy bien la colección.
-Cultura de lo que está ocurriendo ahora.
-Opta por el instinto frente a la lógica.
Os pongo esas como ejemplo. Creo que realmente ayudan a comprender la colección. Con lo de "cultura de lo que ocurre ahora" y el hecho de que se opte por el instinto por encima de la lógica, se explica la manera en que funciona la moda hoy en día. Ponerse un vestido rosita con botas de este tipo era algo impensable en el pasado. Ahora lo podemos hacer porque las normas han cambiado. Podamos hacer lo que el instinto nos pide, en vez de hacer lo que es lógico. Y eso significa que somos libres para hacer lo que nos plazca.
Creo que eso resume la colección bastante bien. Pero también os quiero dar mi opinión.
Ya sabéis que adoro Valentino, y esta colección me pilló por sorpresa. No esperaba verles mezclar ballet y punk, pero me ha gustado. No es mi estilo, pero me parece valiente que hayan añadido ese toque a su colección. Se que les está yendo bien en el tema financiero, y podrían sentarse, ir a lo seguro y contar billetes...pero no se han conformado. Me alegra.
