EastEnders SPOILER: Ben Mitchell attempts to blackmail Martin Fowler over dad Phil's attack

EastEnders SPOILER: Ben Mitchell attempts to blackmail Martin Fowler into doing dodgy deals in the wake of dad Phil's attack

He attempted to kill his comatose father Phil after he was blamed for Stacey Fowler's attack on the soap mainstay last week.

And it seems like Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is set on getting revenge on Stacey by extort her husband Martin (James Bye) instead in EastEnders.

The mechanic is set to blackmail Martin into doing dodgy deals, promising to keep quiet about the attack as a bribe, in scenes filmed on Tuesday that are set to air on the soap later this year.

In intense scenes, the pair were seen engaging in an impassioned debate as Ben rested his head back onto the headrest in frustration.

Martin could be seen imploring with his companion as their conversation wore on, before he stormed out of the car and left the secluded meeting spot.

The two actors put their all into the scene as the cameras rolled, fully embodying their characters for the dramatic scenes.

Phil recently came out of his coma, and has been trying to find out who attacked him, though Stacey and Keanu Taylor have fled Albert Square to avoid suspicion.

In the dark scenes that aired last week, Phil (played by Steve McFadden) found himself in The Arches with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) after she continued to mock him about his missing £50,000, which had been lent to her husband Alfie (Shane Richie) before being stolen by Stacey.

As things escalated an irritated Martin also got involved after a disastrous double date with Stacey (Lacey Turner), Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Phil was quick to make a nasty dig as Martin's 'nutjob of a wife,' sparking a massive brawl between the pair.

As Phil eventually overpowered Martin and began to strangle him, Stacey appeared from nowhere and whacked him over the head with a spanner.

Ending on a heart-stopping cliffhanger, Phil's lay lifeless in the garage pit with Stacey watching over him in disbelief.

Shortly afterwards, Ben stumbled upon Stacey, Martin and Kat standing over Phil, and pulling a gun on them, ordered them out as he insisted that he'd deal with it.
