Winning the Pools can be a life changing experience, but for the Bumpkin family (Ma, Pa, Daisy and Billy), it had become a nightmare. Having all these riches made their lives miserable, and so began their lengthy quest on “Get Poor Quick” schemes.
The problem for them was that no sooner than they are poor again, fate takes a twisted hand, with the Bumpkins exclaiming at the end of every strip…
Any wacky plan to make them poor always end this way. Our first Bumpkin Billionaires strip originally appeared in the 20/7/1977 issue of Whoopee!
the following Bumpkin Billionaires story features one of their most wildest get-poor-quick schemes. This originally appeared in Whoopee, issue dated 27/11/82. Click on the image below to see a larger version.
My next strip, while originally drawn by Leo Baxendale, the following episode of the Swots and the Blots was drawn by Mike.
Comic Title: The Swots and the Blots

Also appeared in reprints in the Cheeky Summer and Holiday Specials and the Cheeky annuals.
